Long story short, I wanted to add some code to Common.css to format my template, but I noticed that the admins were all inactive lately. I made a post on Community Central, and people suggested I look into the adoption process. The criteria for adoption are met; and if the adoption passes I’ll also carry out some long overdue maintenance tasks.
Things I plan to do:
*Add a few lines of CSS to Mediawiki:Common.css.
*Delete pages which have been blanked by their author(s).
*Delete unused images.
*Protect important pages such as [[Portal:Create_a_Language]].
*Archive the [https://conlang.fandom.com/wiki/Forum%3AIndex old forum] and link readers to the [https://conlang.fandom.com/f new threaded discussions page].
Things I will not do:
*I won’t revamp the appearance of existing pages.
*I won’t delete pages solely based on my personal preference.
*I won’t apply for permanent admin status, because I might be busy and my interest in conlang won’t last forever😔 (plus some other reasons)
**According to the criteria given on [https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Adoption:Requests], most people here will be eligible to apply for temporary admin status once they edit content pages for seven (7) consecutive days. So yes, any of you frequent posters can apply for admin if you so prefer!
