I'm looking for romanic speakers to help me in this project.
What's on your mind?
Hey guys, I would love to have anyone willing to help expand my developing language community- the language is a piece of a story that I have been trying to complete, and it belongs to one of the races in my story. And though this is a fictitious language- I would love to bring it into reality with some help from you, the community.
Here is all that I have made so far, and with your help, I have great hopes for the future of O'demyuric
According to Elder Scrolls Lore, the Ancient High Elves (or Aldmer) brought the so-called Imperial Language to Tamriel. I given this some thought and have come to the assumption that the Languages of the Empire mostly (with the exception of beastfolk languages) belong to a single language family that started with the language of the Aldmer. I shall henceforth refer to this Aldmeric language as proto-Merethic, in reference to the Merenhic era when Elven kingdoms controlled Tamriel.
This is obviously a marvelous excuse to construct an entire language family and give depth to a Bethesda franchise that seriously lacks in some worldbuilding departments.
Due to the obviously prevailing Indo-European influence on Tamriel, the Merethic Language Family will be based on the Indo-European Family, and will include the languages of the following recognized races: Ayleid, Breton, Dark Elf, High Elf, Imperial, and Nord. It may also contain the languages of the following races: Falmer, Orc, Redguard, and Wood Elf.
