Short Vowels[edit | edit source]
Short vowels are one of the most regular & non-changeable sound cases on Anglit, and also an easy topic to take on. Short vowels tend to be in most of the cases between two or more consonants, and at the end of a word. But in a few of them, you can find them quickly at the beginning of a word.

a | a | sand | |
e | e | lend | |
i | ɪ | crisis | |
o | o | toll | |
u | u | loom | |
y | y | university |
Long Vowels[edit | edit source]
The long vowels are noticed when two identical vowels are next to each other, they can not be next to diphthongs, and neither at the end of a word (except for ëë, and ÿÿ). Also long vowels tend to be at the end of a syllable.
