Classification and Dialects

It is meant to serve as an auxiliary language for speakers of the two Upper German languages Alemannic and Austro-Bavarian and to replace Standard German in Austria (and Switzerland). The language borrows heavily from Alemannic and Austro-Bavarian, but has more orthograpical similarities to Dutch. It also tries to resurrect some already extinct words and to simplify the grammar as much as possible.

The 2nd Germanic Consonant Shift plays a key role in this language since it is the main thing by which it differs from other West Germanic languages.
