Tones[]

There are four tones in Terlïn:

  • High tone: represented with ¨, it's like Chinese first tone.
  • Low tone: represented putting nothing on the vowel, it's similar to Chinese third tone when speaking fast, it does not fall or rise, just stays low.
  • Rising tone: represented with ´, it is Chinese second tone.
  • Falling tone: represented with `, it's Chinese fourth tone.

Tones don't change and aren't ever dropped.
