Greetings, World
It's time to start this family with the proto-phonology. The consonants are a simplified version of the ones in Proto-Indo-European.
| Type | Bilabial | Alveolar | Palatal | Velar | Glottal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Plosives | p | t | k | ||
| Nasal | m | n | |||
| Fricative | s | h | |||
| Liquid | l | ||||
| Semivowel | j ⟨y⟩ | w |
For the vowels, I went with a simple 3 vowel-system, from Proto-Austronesian.
| Type | Front | Back |
|---|---|---|
| Close | i | u |
| Open | a |
That's all for now. Next time, I'll be figuring out the phonotactics and how these sounds go together.
